Terms of Service

1. Service summary

Alex is a multi-tenant platform that lets tenants embed AI chat and voice assistants on their own properties. Each tenant pays monthly for each configured instance and consumes usage credits for overage traffic (speech minutes, text queries, phone-bridge minutes, storage).

2. Acceptable use

• No unlawful content; no instructions to create malware, weapons, or other dangerous material.
• No large-scale automated scraping of our APIs.
• No deceptive use that impersonates a person without disclosure.
• Knowledge-base content you upload must be content you have the right to use.

3. Billing

• Monthly subscription fees are charged via Stripe on each instance's billing anchor date.
• Usage overages are deducted from a prepaid balance you top up at your own pace.
• Telephony (Telnyx) minutes are passed through at cost with a configured markup.
• Refund policy and invoice format will be detailed in the final document.

4. Data handling

• Conversations may be logged to support your own dashboard and platform quality control.
• KYC verification is performed by Stripe Identity on our behalf.
• Phone-number registration is performed by Telnyx on our behalf.

5. Termination

Either party may terminate with written notice. On termination we cancel active subscriptions, release assigned Telnyx numbers, and archive instance data for 30 days before deletion.

6. Liability

We provide the platform on a best-effort basis. We are not liable for the content Alex generates on behalf of tenants nor for tenant-uploaded knowledge. Tenants are responsible for their own AI-safety review.

7. Changes

We will notify tenants by email before any materially adverse change to these terms.
